Speak the Season

Fallen leaves
Fallen leaves

Autumn has finally arrived! The crisp crunchy leaves beneath our boots dance colours of red and orange in the early frost of the morning. The clocks have just taken us back an hour to darker nights and cosy evenings by the crackling fire with a warm cup of coffee. Bright blue skies now blaze pinks and oranges as the sun continues to set sooner. Big fluffy winter coats and warm fuzzy scarves keep us toasty in the chilly winter air.
Soon enough we will all be planning our Christmas shopping trips and putting up our festive lights. The smell of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts will fill the air around us creating a truly magical atmosphere. Christmas songs will start to play and the smell of real Christmas trees will lure us into dressed up shops.
At Rivendale we have already started chopping up logs ready to burn in our bars lounge area and to keep the timber yurts cosy over the frosty period. It’s time to book your relaxing break with us in a timber yurt or camping pod! Enjoy a beautiful walk in the stunning Derbyshire hills and be welcomed back with a home-cooked meal in our bar by the cosy burning fire.

What’s that in the shadows…

Ghosts, bats, creepy shadows in the moonlight…it must be Halloween! This fantastic time of year at Rivendale Caravan Park means we can bring out the spooky decorations and costumes and have a fancy dress disco. This thrilling incident will take place from 8pm on Saturday 31st October in our on-site bar. Everyone is welcome to our spine-chilling night, but do you have the guts to come along?
